What Are the Signs and Symptoms of Lichen Nitidus?
It generally presents as a flat-topped, skin-colored, pinhead size bump that can be anywhere on the body. Most commonly affects skin on the trunk, upper extremities, hands, and genitalia. The bumps are usually in groups or clusters. Generally, Lichen Nitidus is asymptomatic but patients can experience itching. It often resolves spontaneously over the course of several months to a year or even more.
Who Gets Lichen Nitiduts?
Lichen Nitidus is generally more common in children and young adults. However, it can affect people of all ages.
How is Lichen Nitidus Diagnosed?
Diagnoses is usually made clinically. Skin biopsies can be done for confirming diagnosis.
